Cynáa-Nicole

Cynáa-Nicole is a 16 year old vocalist and musician that resides in Northern Virginia. She was a previously a home-schooled student which now attends Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Vocal Music Department in Washington, DC. She has over 6 years of musical training, dance, and acting experience. In addition, she plays the piano and has taken vocal instruction with InTune Music Studio/Davis Dynasty since 2017. 

 

Cynáa-Nicole kicked off her professional musical career in May 2022 and has written over thirty (30) original songs with her older brother, Buto, who is also a singer-songwriter/producer.

 

This summer she was chosen as one of the recipients to participate in the 2023 Washington National Opera (WNO) Summer Institute which was held in July, for three weeks, at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. 

 

Also, Cynáa-Nicole was a participant with the Old Dominion (VA) Chapter, The Links, Incorporated for their local “Young Masters 2.0 (YM2.0) Competition” and was selected as a second place finalist in the music category in the Eastern Area level. 

 

Most recently, as a member of the Concert Choir, Cynáa-Nicole had the opportunity to perform with Yolanda Adams at Duke Ellington in partnership for the March On Washington Film Festival event, at the White House for the President Advisory Commission  and with Duke Ellington’s “Show Choir” during their Recruitment show! 

 

In her spare time, Cynáa-Nicole enjoys spending it with family and friends, and performing during "Open Mic" night at Jirani Coffeehouse, her family-owned coffee shop that supports local artists.
